We would like to know how we can improve our service to you, and subsequently how you can benefit through patient participation. We would like to ask a group of patients, from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample, to work along side us by way of occasional emails, questionnaires and if possible on site meetings with the PPG and the Oliver Street Surgery. We would like the PPG to become the communication link between the practice and the community to enable patients to have their say in how you want your practice to be of service to you.
Members of the PPG can help us by assisting in conducting surveys, occasionally throughout the year, so that our services can constantly improve and develop. The PPG would have the option to organise and arrange fund raising activities to support the running of the group and to help provide extra patient amenities within the practice.
The Surgery would ask its PPG to keep the staff up to date on the requirements of its patient population, for health education so that we, in turn, could provide appropriate health education meetings, with the assistance of the PPG.
The surgery will keep the PPG informed of all the practice policies that are stipulated by our local PCT and will ask that the PPG speak, on behalf of the patient population, to express their opinions.
We are looking for young patients aged 16+ to join the group which meets 4 times a year.
If you would like more information please contact Caroline Cook, Practice Manager using our contact form or call 01525 631395.
